Following the Government's announcement of the new national restrictions in England from 30 November 2021, Electric Mobility want to reassure our Dealers and their customers we will remain OPEN as an 'Essential Service Sector' Supplier to serve and continue to support businesses and the community throughout the significant challenges facing us all over the coming weeks and months.
Electric Mobility is a Covid-secure workplace and continues to adopt the guidance of the UK Government and Public Health England.
Our highest priority is to continue to supply mobility products to Local Mobility Retailers, to minimise risk to colleagues during this period of uncertainty and continuing to providing essential products through the supply chain to those in need.
• We have plenty of stock across mobility scooters, powerchairs, riser recliners and static chairs with continuation of manufacturing and delivery from our supply chain.
• We have taken extra precautions to protect staff members and reduce contamination, undertaking anti-bacterial deep-cleaning regularly with requirements for all staff members and visitors to consistently wash their hands in line with Government and WHO guidance.
• In order to further minimise the possibility of colleagues being infected, we have taken the decision to temporarily reduce the number of people physically working in our Ilminster Head Office. Between now and until further notice, some of the team will be working from home.
• However, owing to the investment in IT and telecoms systems we aim to maintain our usual level of usual high service levels.
• We will continue to support the sales activity for products & parts orders from our Network of Dealer Showrooms by maintaining a seamless supply chain & continuity of sales & marketing support.
• Internal and external events have been cancelled or postponed. Visitors to Head Office have been limited to essential deliveries only and international business trips were cancelled ahead of the travel restrictions
As part of the Heath and Social Care sector supply chain we have been identified as ‘Key Workers’ by the Government https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision
This situation is liable to change but we will update you should we become aware of any changes.
“There is no mistaking the challenge of this moment. The entire Electric Mobility team is indebted to the heroic doctors, nurses, researchers, first responders and public health experts who are working tirelessly to support the vulnerable people in this country and across the world. We have been inspired by the humanity and determination that we have already seen from our Network of Authorised Dealers in our local communities.
But this is a global effort — to protect the most vulnerable and reduce the spread of this virus, we all have to play our part which is precisely why we have taken this action.”
