Steve Perry, our Export Manager recently attended Arab Health International Trade Show in Dubai, January 2012. As a first time exhibitor to Arab Health Steve was impressed to see the professionalism of the large and well promoted International show. Set up and breakdown ran smoothly and the UK pavilion's design stood out within Hall 7, where Electric Mobility's stand was situated.

We were a part of the UK pavilion at Arab Health, feedback while at the show revealed that this is generally seen as being a positive step as we are a member of the GHFT group agents, with compliant products. Visitors mainly consisted of healthcare companies looking to expand their range in their markets and we had a wide range of visitors to our stand, from across the region who are consistently looking for UK companies who can supply quality products, backed by CE mark conformity.

The Arab Health Exhibition has grown over several years and is now seen as the main healthcare trade show outside of Rehacare in the EU and Medtrade in the USA. Steve Perry Export Manager at Electric Mobility agrees; "Arab Health now rivals Medtrade USA, Rehacare and Medica in Dusseldorf as a true healthcare show with a wide range of products and manufacturers on display. Well done to the organisers for putting on a professional show."

Giving the gift of independence this Christmas...

Electric Mobility Euro Ltd made Edith Maddams's Christmas wishes come true by giving her a brand new mobility scooter after hers was stolen from her home last month.

The Croydon Advertiser reported last month that pensioner Edith Maddams, 96, was asleep when thieves broke into her sheltered housing block on Wednesday 7th December and stole her only mode of transport - her Rascal 388S mobility scooter.

Lucy Tuffin, Marketing Assistant at Electric Mobility Euro, spotted the article whilst doing an online search. She said: "When I read Edith's story it really resonated with me. It's easy to forget until you read stories like this just how much people rely on our products. I thought it was very sad that Edith's independence had been taken away from her."

"I discussed the story with my manager and we decided that as it is Christmas we would like to offer Edith one of our new Rascal Partner scooters to replace her Rascal 388S that she had been using for the last few years. The Partner is the perfect replacement scooter for Edith because its compact design means she will easily be able to navigate her way into the building, and into the lift that she uses to reach her flat."

Electric Mobility were concerned that Edith would be feeling vulnerable after thieves broke into her home, so they spoke to Fish Insurance who offered to donate one year's free mobility scooter insurance. Electric Mobility said "Hopefully, the year's free insurance cover will help to give Edith peace of mind as the policy will protect her against theft, vandalism and accidental damage."

The Big Red Scooter Company, a local firm and one of Electric Mobility's trusted retailers, delivered the scooter to Edith on Monday 18th December. They will provide ongoing support to Edith in the form of outstanding service, support and general back up.

Edith said the scooter was the "most wonderful Christmas present" as it gave her back her independence.

"I was really sad when they took it. I had no way of getting around and I thought it was a really mean thing to do. I can't get around without it, you see," she said.

"We thought going to the newspaper might help us find who did it - I never expected this.

"It has made my Christmas, it is the most wonderful present and it shows there are still lovely people out there."

Having extensive senior management experience across the manufacturing sector including the construction industry, Jonathan will lead Electric Mobility into the next phase of its growth.

An engineering graduate with a background in sales, marketing and business leadership, Jonathan has primarily worked within companies marketing engineered products through a network of dealers. His experience has been focused on helping businesses re-energise their sales and marketing operations to achieve real growth.
