He bought his Rascal 329LE from Keswick Motor Company just over a year ago. As a qualified mountain guide, he has found a way to continue to enjoy his passion for mountain climbing even though he is no longer physically able to walk long distances. He said that he would be lost without his scooter and that it handled the eight-mile trip well – even the two-mile non-stop incline! It goes to show that there are no limits to what you can achieve when you set your mind to it. Next year, he hopes to take his Rascal 329LE to the Lake District National Park for a twelve mile round trip. We look forward to reporting how he gets on. | Rascal Balance makes an appearance at 2010 Super Bowl Final | | The Rascal Company in the USA recently loaned the Balance scooter to feature in a new mobile company advert for US provider Boost Mobile. | | Winner of Disability Now Competition July 2007 | At the Naidex Exhibition Electric Mobility and Disability Now held a Win a Scooter competition. After receiving over 2000 entries the winner was Mr John Dudley from Alfreton in Derby. When John was advised he had won, he thought it was one of his friends playing a game with him, but after a few minutes of reassurance, he could not believe his luck. John said, " My family and friends know I enter competitions, but I have never been lucky to win anything. Winning the Liteway scooter was a big suprise and I really still cannot believe I have won. The scooter will not only benefit myself but also my Mum who has difficulty getting about, so we are really both winners".
John imediately struck up a friendship with his local Electric Mobility distributor Neil Cartledge from Derby Mobility Services, at the presentation, as they are both keen Derby County fans. Stephen Perry, Marketing Manager from Electric Mobility said, "It has been great working with Disability Now, who ran the competition, and it is really rewarding when you get the response we did when we told John he had won".
